Portrayal of a Pandemic
We have all been through an extraordinary time over the last year with our lives being curtailed in the most
dramatic way. There has been sadness and loss but also appreciation and hope. We are all emerging with a sense of strengthened community and we would like to mark this with an art exhibition in September 2021.
All forms of art are welcome including paintings, mixed media, photography, textiles, sculpture and also poetry. The art needs to portray the pandemic in some way.
There are 3 Age Categories: Under 12’s, Under 18’s and Adults.
The exhibition will take place in September at the Black Swan Arts, Frome Town Hall and other venues tbc.
Artwork will be selected by an invited panel of judges for the Exhibition. 30 of the best submissions will go to a public vote where 12 images will be published in our 2022 Calendar.
There is no charge to enter but we will ask you to consider making a donation to Active and in Touch if you choose to sell your artwork during the exhibition.
Please submit your work by emailing through a jpeg photograph by Friday 4th June
If you cannot send a digital image of your artwork contact us and we can arrange an alternative.

Every Monday we hold an arts/crafts social group (smaller group) at the Bridge Cafe on Selwood Road from 11am-1pm. Please ring Gwen Corbet or Di Roberts on 07468 859453 for more details.
Every Tuesday we run an Active Tuesday group for all A&IT members and volunteers at Phoenix House, The Assembly Rooms, or The Cornerhouse from 11am-1pm. Working in partnership with many other voluntary, charity, and other organisations, we now have a packed programme of different activities for our members. One of our highlights is our ‘Get Set Cook’ cookery club in partnership with Somerset Community Food.
